P28 ECU 5spd or Auto
I purchased a used P28 ECU and was told it was from a 93 delsol. Is this the right ecu I need to do a D16Z6 swap into my crx? It has the following written on the barcode tag:
37820-P28-A01
760-214156
denshigiken ARM
also, is there a site that I can find the information for decoding these serials?
Thanks

Check http://www.pgmfi.org and search there for the decode chart.
A01 is a USDM 5spd
A51 or A52 are auto.
But i prefer getting the auto ones since they are cheaper and it take 30 secs with a hot soldering iron to convert them to 5spd. And they work just the same.
The even have the same redline, vtec x-over, and fuel/timing maps as the 5spds. People try to say otherwise, but have never provided proof. They also say the B16A auto cams are weaker than the 5spds, but I call BS until I see proof. It's an internet myth generated by the anti-automatic Honda crowd.
They bash auto guys all day for driving autos too, but try to wire in 38 wires for an Integra LS Transmission Control Module into a civic that never came with one. That's a challenge that none of the shops in the area would touch...
And they're still amazed when they see the swap, and how stock it looks in a 93 Civic....

I bought an auto ecu from a 94 LS but there are already resistors going from RP18 AND RP17. Would I just need to remove the RP17 and my ecu will be converted to a manual?
