anyone know if a ITR Oil Pump Fits a 1st gen b16??
Hey guys.. im wanting to know if a ITR oil pump will fit my 1st gen b16?? i thinking about buying one off a board member but im not sure?? does anyone done this conversion?? i know the itr oil pump will increase the oil pressure since its more flow but im just worried if it will fit? thanks.. J
why does the obd matter?..i was told that i can use an itr oil pump on my jdm b16,so i went and baught one, just havnt tried to install it yet..can anyone let us know if it will work?
Yes, you can run and ITR pump, but you have to modify your lower timing cover since the ITR pump is meant to have a CFK sensor on it and it will hit the cover it you don't notch it out.

this is THE CORRECT INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OBD has nothing to do with this part.....except the US SPEC ITR is obd2 and uses the crank fluctuating sensor that runs off the timing belt gear on the crank....

very good thanks for the info..i did research this before, but when ever i hear someone say it wont work then i feel like i need to double check
Do you need the crank sensor?? Its a USDM spec ITR Oil Pump. What kind of performance would you expect to see?? a high oil pressure?? thanks guys..
Its not really a performance gain at all, its more of a safety factor, since the pump is higher flowing, which is critical for high rpm use. The Sensor is only needed for OBD2 cars.

US Spec cars....
JAP Spec didn't have the crank fluctuating sensor...

so the ITR oil pump will bolt right up to my b17a block then as well? I've been told that a b17 and b16 block are the same, just a difference in the stroke of the two cranks.
does anyone know if i can use an ITR water pump, and if I can what timing belt do I use?

The VTEC water pumps are all the same. You use the timing belt for the motor, in your case, a B17 or B16, they should be the same as well.
