91 Accord - Loud noise 45 to 60 MPH
My 91 Accord (104,000 + miles) just starting making a loud noise under the hood - front & center- noise starts at about 45 MPH and stops when you reach 60 MPH. Sounds like a loud single engine airplane. Rides smooth other than the noise - no lights are on in the instrument panel. Mechanic thought it was related to a Code Alarm (CSI300) recently installed. Install team made sure the siren was extra secure - they say its not alarm. Any ideas? Thanks.
Any loose trim up front? Under the bumper? Perhaps a radiator shroud or other loose plastic piece?
You could always take the hood off and drive down the highway with someone watching from the passenger seat, see if anything is moving.

I remember when the car was in the shop that I noticed the top part of the trim across the windshield was loose. Had no idea something so small could cause such a loud noise! 2 clips were broken and replaced yesterday - no noise. If you had not mentioned it again, I would have forgotten until I "got around" to getting it fixed in the next two weeks. THANKS!!
