Default 1985 AWD Civic wagon head question

I found an '85 AWD Civic wagon at the local junkyard; it looks fine inside as well as out, has 129k miles. About the only thing wrong with it is the head. The cam has worn the number one cam journal. My question: I've heard that the head from an '86-'87 teg will fit the D15 block with little or no mods. Is this true? Also, will the intake manifold and carbs from an '85 Prelude fit the teg head?

the 84-87 civic does not use the d15 engine, I dont think that the integra head (DOHC) bolts to this engine(SOHC) though. Was the car fuel injected or carbed?

It's carbureted. I've heard people say that it looks like everything lines up, but I don't know if anyone's actually tried it. I've been tempted to try swapping both heads at a junkyard. I think Honda started calling the EW engines D15's in 1987.

Hey gas,
On your website, you were going to change the 5th gear with one from a CRX hf; I've got a teg engine and tranny in my '84 CRX and am turning about 3grand@60mph. Will the 5th grear from a CRX hf swap into my teg tranny??

I think you need an Accord 5th gear. I've heard the '86-?? Accord 5th gears work, and the ??-'85 gears look like they would work based on the service manuals I have. I'm not sure if the ratios are different between the two Accords generations, but the '85 is 0.6XX. It would be like skipping 5th on a six-speed.

Ive always dreamed of swapping a fore breating turbo B18C into one of those AWD wagons. Can you say RALLY, heheh, but im not sure how the drivetrain would hold up to 250+ hp, anyone ever done this swap?

You would have to use the CRV drivetrain with a B series. I don't think it's been done before.

Damn, that would be FUN. Maybe just get a CRV drivetrain and put it under a civic coupe or HB. It would be a pain in the *** to mod the floor pan, but it would be cool. Throw a turbo GSR motor in the beast and go rally
