Default FS: Snap-On Universal Valve Spring Compressor

$100 plus shipping FIRM

Removes/installs the valve spring without removal of the cylinder head from the engine.



Will consider trade for snap-on valve adjustment tool + cash.

can you really take off the valvespringse without taking off the head? i used this exact tool to do my head myself, how do u keep the valves shut if the head is on? just wondering..... for next time

You can use an air compressor to make sure there is pressure in the cylinder at all times. You can also fill the cylinder with rope.

Helms manual doesn't have instructions for doing the B18C1 or C5 head with this tool. Instructions for B18B are shown. Can you use tool on VTEC heads?

The answer is yes you can use the tool on VTEC heads.

Ive used it with a K20A2(RSX) and on my C1 and it works perfectly. Actually the first time I used the compressor and filled the chamber with air, but Ive found that the valve doesnt drop in because of the valve seal and dont really worry with it now.
