Default Strut/sway bar

What are a few of the best strut bars for the 99 teg? I've been looking at the DC Sports, any comments about those?

Best bang for buck is the Type R swaybar and the BSQ kit under 100 for a awsome sway bar

First of all, strut and sway bars are different. Strut bars attach to the strut or shock towers of your car and serve to stiffen it by providing a link between both sides of the car (since they're all open with the cockpit and engine bay. The sway bar is also called an anti-roll bar and serves that purpose. In a hard turn, the sway bar will rotate and transfer some force from the side that is sinking in the turn to the other side, which pushes the other side down causing no roll which means the wheels are better planted.

For now get the ITR rear sway bar + BSQ or Beaks kit. That alone will give you all the handling you want. The current rear sway you have is 14mm (GSR) or 12.9mm (LS). The ITR bar is 22mm (USDM) or 23mm (JDM). That's a huge difference and you'll definitely feel it. I wouldn't worry about the front sway bar since it's only a few millimeters difference between all the models.

DC Sports are crap. The holes they put in the strut bar for bling weaken the bar. People will argue that strut bars do nothing, but I've felt a difference with my Neuspeed 4-point front strut bar. You can get those for about $70-100 if you are patient. I have an ITR rear strut and barely felt anything with that. I'm about to take it off and sell it since all it does is takes up trunk space. I also have a Oglesport C-pillar bar and though everyone else thinks it's a waste, I did feel the rear tighten up. In general, for strut bars, the only reputable ones are ITR, Neuspeed, Spoon, and Cusco.

I like the Carbing too, but I took it off because I saw one of my friends crack his windshield because the 3 pt mounts to the firewall. IMO, the 4 pt strut bar did the job and didnt risk any cracking or mishaps.

For my BSQ mounting kit, you can go to my website at http://www.geocities.com/bretq/mounting_kit.html (or my mirror site at http://www.geocities.com/bretq2/mounting_kit.html ). Also, for a complete parts list of all the necessary parts for the installation of the Type-R rear swaybar and step-by-step installation instructions go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html (or my mirror site http://www.geocities.com/bretq....html ).
