swap or turbo?
Hey everyone I've had my integra for a while and its just a stock gs but now its time to change
I have some money to spend and I was just wondering what would you do? I'm looking into either swapping the engine for a K20A or getting a turbo in it.
* I'm leaning more towards the swap since I can turbo it later and get more power in the end but it will be a while before I can get the turbo.
Thanks and any help is appreciated

k20, but realize that it will cost you MUCH more than turbo. If you have the time and the cash to do it though, I personally would find a K20 swap more rewarding than a turbo. It will also cost you at least twice as much as a mild turbo kit though.
first off, check out the search feature and see what comes up. this topic quite often comes up. you might find some articles to sway you either way. my personal opinion is to stay b-series if anything. I think the b18b is a great motor, and you'd be much happier with turbo'ing your stock motor than trying to mess w/ a k20 swap. i also dont think that anything but a b-series belongs in a teg, k20's just dont look right in there. turbo stock motor will make great power, can be reliable, and will save you money.

Yeah, it is a problem when people have NO IDEA what they are doing. I know a ton of people that have had more problems with their "stock" honda or whatever. I know a few turbo honda's that have been going forever. It all just depends on the way you treat your car, etc. Too many variables to consider, but anything can be reliable if tuned/built correctly. I also disagree, A turbo spooling up, the wastegate opening up at full throttle and screaming, then hearing vtec kick in (very quietly, compared to external wastegate)...then a Blow off Valve. I can't say there is a much sweeter sound.....that also means your honda now has torque thanks to turbo
