Default what type of ecu for a obd1 b18b1???????????????????????

heres the situation ... just bought an integra for cheap ... it had theft in its history, and the original gsr motor was stolen ....

now someone way before me rebuilt the car and put in a b18b1 and i guess just lived with the codes.... the cat did not have an 02 sensor so im throwing a secondary code...

so my question, u guys just recoment ditching the gsr computer and running an obd1 b18b1 computer??? the right maps for the engine and all, and that will get rid of the need for a secondary 02, and get rid of the vtec solenoid cel ....

what is the code of the ecu used for obd1 b18b1's????

thanks in advance!

yes, you need a '94-'95 P74 or P75. Or if you plan on chipping it, you can get away w/a P06 (I have one for sale).

ok, heres one more question .... now.... i have some ******* serious power lag below 3000 rmps ....

in first gear it feels like im starting off in 3rd gear, untill i hit 3000rpms , and its as if someone turns on a switch and its instant power, as if someone let off the brake ......

at first i thought its prolly cause of the 02 cel, but my friend just told me his car drove fine once when he took his secondary sensor out .....

could this lag have anything to do with the crank angle sensor cel???

what could be causeing this ...

the compression test was as follows ... 200-200-195-200

Ok, the o2 sensor in my brother's truck went out and caused his truck to run rich and slow as crap. Your o2 sensor problem could be making you run rich below 3000rpms...

And those compression test numbers are very high for a stock b18. I thought it was supposed to be like 180 across the board..?

well i took the car out this moringin ... so weird .... went out, drove it, and it was fine ... no lagging .....

so it simply must be some funny sensor **** thats giving me the problen .. no biggie ... at least i know tha motor is healthy ...

are they really supposed to be down by 180?? are you sure ... even my brothers d16a6 tested at 200

b18b1 uses an OBDI P75. from 96 on it's an OBDII P75

nominal compression tests for a new b18b1 motor is 199psi, minimal is 135psi, and the maximum variation should not exceed 28psi

your motor has completely healthy compression.

i woulda said the lag below 3krpms is from the gs-r ecu pulling timming cuz of the higher compression. but u said it's fine

another ecu you could use is the obd1 pr4... i just happen to have one. i know on the pr4 (92-93 integra LS) theres only one oxygen sensor, so that'll get rid of that code, and theres no vtec sel. ofcourse... that'll take care of that. i know this isn't a classified section, but if you want to get in touch with me about mine, dont be afraid to pm, cause if you check my sig. you'll see what i need.
