EG a/c recharge

hi, someone told me that recharging a car w/ the older fluid cost a lot more than the newer ones (converted)..was wondering which one applies for my 94 civic..thanks!

1994 and up cars use r-134a. It is the newer refrigerant. There are numerous posts regarding a/c issues on here.

How do I check for an A/C leak? I recharged mine and it was fine for a night and then the next day it just blew hot air.

First off replace all the o rings with new ones if you need to recharge again. Then there is this dye you can add into your a/c system and if it indeeds leaks you should be able to find it under a black light.
