Water is leaking into my CRX worse than the TITANIC. (help)
Allright I know that this topic has been brought up before, I just have a few questions.
1. When it rains I have noticed my 1990 CRX Si takes on water.
2. I have found water in the spare tire well, driver side taillight, inside my interior dome light lense (the one located on the headliner right before the hatch), in my passenger side front floor board (lot of water), passenger side rear floor board right behind the seat (not as much water as the front floorboard), and I have seen it actually dripping off of the passenger side rear hatch strut assembly on a few occassions after a rainfall.
3. Upon searching various threads on this website I have determined that I should silicone or replace the factory seals on my taillights, rear windshield washer squirter. Plus peel back the black roof gutter seals clean out the debris (if their is any) silicone them up and attempt to find the rear drain plugs/hoses for the sunroof. Did I miss anything?
4. Last but not least, I have two final questions. Does the sunroof assembly have front drain plugs/hoses? if so where are they located? and where do they dump at? I also heard that there are hoses from the sunroof that dump out into the engine compartment in or near the firewall. Is this correct? Would detached hoses explain why my passenger side floor boards resemble the Florida everglades?
sorry for a repost but it has been raining every other day here, and my car is starting to reek, plus vacuuming every other day is a hassle. Thanks in advance and I will post up results of my explorations.

Then sun roof drains to the back, if U take out the plastic that covers ur speakers (the entire thing, not just the speaker covers) U will see the hose (Both sides, 2 hoses). They will probably be nasty and clogged up. This cause it to dump water into my rear like ur describing. I jsut got a water hose and gave it a good blast to clear everthing out. Also I just used form a gasket on my tail lights, then put the old gasket back on and it stopped the leaking. Ammmm, get a drill and drill a few holes in the bottom of ur tail lights to keep water from collecting in them. Ammmm thats all the leaking I have delt with. Good luck
^ just had that one happen on me last night!!! i could actually see it dripping. i removed my glove box and looked up where it was dripping from....it looked as if the window was taking on a lot of water and it was dripping behind my dash....
i think.
so ima get some silicone or what not and try and get my plastic on the bottom of my window to stick better,.

there are two sets of sunroof drains. two in the front , and two in the back. clean both of those out. also, seal your rear squirter. another very common problem is the taillight gaskets leaking. you can either a) buy new ones from the dealership or b) get some silicon and seal them up. also , open up your hatch and clean out any leaves or dirt that is trapped .
there is on other cause which ppl belive causues leaks and that is the rain gutters that run from the front windshield back to the hatch on both sides of the roof. i've heard of ppl pulling them up about 6in in the back and sealing them with silicon. i don't know if this is a common cause ,but the ones listed ^ will most likely fix all of your leaks.

thanks for the reply, but I no longer have an Air Conditioner, I do not think it would still leak in my floorboard would it? regardless I will crawl under there and check. Thanks for the input people it is greatly appreciated.
If anyone else has anymore ideas on the front passenger floorboard leak please post them I will address everything that is posted and I am sure with your knowledge I will eventually solve the leaking CRX issues.

there are rains that exit by there , so if they are clogged , you will get leaks on your floorboards. i have no idea how to clean the front ones
, but i do know that there is a set that exits in the front tire wells and a set that exits in the rear.

i know there are diagrams for the drains in the owners manaul. just take a peak in there and see what you find.
