Default Help...Changing CV boot on 94 hatch

My friends 94 hatch has a torn CV boot and I was wondering how dificult it is to change. The place that changed his oil told him about it and I haven't looked under the car yet so I'm not sure which boot it is. I was wondering how dificult it is to change and how much time it usually takes to do it. This will be my first one because I don't have to deal with these things on my Trans Am .

By the way I looked at a couple hatches this week and I will be buying one of them by this Monday. I'll post some pics of it when I get it.

Thanks Jon

I would change the whole axle... Which isn't hard to do at all... As far as replacing the boot I'm under the impression it is alot harder to do than just changing the axle. You gotta open the boot, de-grease/clean it all out, then repack it full of axle grease, put the boot baclk on snug and secure than put the axle back in. Auto-zone or pep boys will have a re-manufactured axle for about $80 and once you replace your axle you can give them the old one for a $30- $40 refund. Oh and most of them have some sort of warranty....
