racing seats and weights?

does anyone know the stock seat(leather) weight of a 4th gen. and i was thinking about buying the new ractive seats but got any other suggestions. something thats can recline/adjust but still somewhat light (thanks).

I think the stock seats weigh around 35-40 lbs each and I think there are some pretty light aftermarket seats but I dont know if they would be within your budget, I know they're out of mine

I remember seeing an article about racing seats and their weights in a magazine a few months ago... not sure which one of the 1000 tuner mags it was though... I'll look around and see if I cant find it.

most reclinable "racing" seats are still going to be heavy due to their steel frame construction.
The only benefit would be the added side support. If your looking to save weight, go with a full race seat with carbon/kevlar or fiberglass shell. Mine weigh almost 1/3 what my stock seats did.
