Accord trim
I have a 96 accord, seattle silver with black running trim on the doors, i also want to remove the black door handles and paint, i want to paint the trim the same color. I have the color, i just need to know how to remove those to paint.
The black trim going down the side of the door is glued onto the door. I think there may be 2 or 3 clip holding it as well but for the most part it's glued.
You would first need to heat the glue with a heat gun or blow dryer and then gently pull the molding off while removing the clips as well. Once it's off you'll need to remove the glue from the molding/trim pieces and then also from the door. Once all the glue is removed then you can re-glue the newly painted pieces into place. I can'r remember what the manual says to re-glue it with though.

Well that sounds like a job, how about taping off around the trim, sanding and painting that? or would it be better to pull them off? Also, any ideas on the removal of the door handles??
I would say removing them and then painting would turn out the best.
The door handles are much harder. You need to remove the door panels, the plastic covering the insides, I think the door lock mechanism and maybe some other stuff. I can't remember, I would have to look at my Helms but I'm at work and it's at home right now.
