Default zc bogging at 3.5k and code 4

i just did a zc swap for a friend into a 90 hatch. hes got a code 4 cel and when i took it for a drive, it seemed to stutter/bogg, almost like a rev limiter, at around 3500 rpm. i checked his ecu and it says 88 si ecu. i'm assuming that is the reason for the crappy symptoms. can someone verify or help me out on this. thanks.

code 4 = dist.

did u move the two wires from the dist plug to the sensor on the exhaust cam?

Had the same problem recently, had to replace the distributor. After that everything was fine. We also have the same set up

these are the two wires that need to be @ the exhaust cam sensor.

when u throw a dizzy code, the ecu goes to limp mode, and wil not rev beyond about 4k. Figure what the problem is, and u will be fine. Its not the ecu.

Distributor dude, just happend to me last week. a 94 4 door accord works fine, 50bucks in a scrap yard. As long as your conversion wiring is straight just go junkyard hoppin
