Default B18b in CRX/Civic?

As the thread describes, can I put a B18 in a Civic? I have a B18 engine sitting around and want to put it in something cheap. Will this work or am I better off getting an old integra. Also what transmission will I have to use to bolt up to this engine? Assume I know nothing, cause I don't, if it was a toyota I could tell you if you could do it and what you'd need, but I'm clueless with hondas.

Thanks fot the help,
George D.

Do you have a civic/crx? What year did the b18 come out of? What is still connected to it (intake manifold, exhaust manifold, sensors)? How much do you want to spend on the project? The transmission that would be easiest is the 90-93 integra transmission. In 94 they switched to a hydraulic clutch. You will need new motor mounts, shift linkage, axles and intermediate shaft, radiator hoses, ECU and, depending on your model of civic, a little to a lot of wiring. Hope that helps.
