ok my motor is tuned with a chipped computer but it runs really fast, does any body know what a ALTERNATOR SOLENOID VALVE is? Anyways i am running in 4 gear then downshift to 2nd and since my ecu is chipped i dont have a rev lim. so i can hold it for as long as i want but when i reach about 6500 or 6800 somewhere before 7000 rpm the car shuts off...everything is on interior lights, radio, headlights, etc...except when i go to turn the car back on the fuel pump. distributor, and ecu are off they are not gettin any power because of the fuse under the dashboard that says ALTERNATOR SOLENOID VALVE, the fuse is a 10 but i blew it so i put a 15 and blew that too? sooo i put in a 20 its fine for now but does it mean that i have 2 change my alternator because the i am running a high amperage alternator?
Do you mean that you installed a high-amperage alternator? You might want to get an underdrive pulley first. It might be cheaper. I really don't what your problem is, but what you said kinda makes sense. Well, Good luck.
You'd better put a 10 amp fuse in their before you blow something or have a small fire start in your car. NEVER use any fuses that aren't exactly matched to stock spec.
The "alternator sol switch" fuse also controls the fuel pump and possibly the starter? Get a helms and start chasing wires to see if you are grounding something out.

i suggest not to put a aftermarket underdrive pully on the D series i put a AEM underdrive pully on my car like a mounth ago and i spun the bearings on my car 2 nights ago if i would do not take off the stock pully
