Default NSX power in a Teg!

I have had this idea in my head for a while! What would it be like to have the NSX power plant in the Integra or civic. Put it in the back and make it rear wheel drive!? Is it worth while, does it have potential or is it just a waste of time! It would be like the Renault Clio V6. That has 255hp 3.0 http://www.renault.com/gb/produits/clio_V6.htm
I am pretty sure it would be better than a Clio V6
You make one of these cars and most V8s will have there mouths on the floor!
Not to mention it would be nice to see a civic or integra drifter!

haha you really thought u were going to get everybody pumped and get the post of the year award. Seriously though if your so excited about it why dont u go out and drop a nsx motor into your hatchback. Then when you do, u can come back and everybody will be on your nuts. Thanks in advance

Going RWD is one thing, but putting a v6 in a teg is a waste. Why would you want a v6 when there's more than a handful of people running over 450whp in the FI forum?

::tsk tsk::

Maybe if you had money to wipe your *** then its definitely doable. But truthfully its not even worth the time nor money. SURE it may seem "cool" but its not reasonable... for the money that will be spent, you can just turbo your Integra or drop a K20 and go all motor...

Of course the b18c still hails for me as the all mighty... But that's just my opinion.

Hey man.....DO IT!! The moment that kit from HASPORT was available (hypathetically) every guy in t his forum would be talking about doing it. Every forced induction/ NA setup has been done and done hundreds of times. Why not do something different? Just one man's opinion.

I'd rather just pick-up a pre-owned NSX. They're now relatively affordable.

With all that money and time. I'd just rather build a bserie block and boost it. I'm happy with my boost.
I think you'll get alot of attention, but it won't be worth it.

The car doesn't stand any more of a chance of being stolen with an NSX powerplant vs. regular old B. The theif has no clue it has NSX for brains. Our cars are PRIME targets whether NSX, B, F, K, blah blah blah......we should all drive Pintos and not worry.

too much time would be wasted and way too much money--

Its common sense--if someone has enough money to put that much cash into a civic or teg, why wouldnt they just opt for a better car?

Not to mention if the thieve does steal it he will be confused as hell and probably not bother taking it out. I dought a thief has many friends with nsx's he can sell parts to.
Anyway if you take on this project I would have to say that it's the biggest waste of money I've seen. Nsx part's aren't exactly cheap man.

Yeah, how much is a used NSX engine? Idea is cool just not feasible for the average person.

the NSX motor is a DOHC 90 degree V6. Fat and wide. Good luck even getting it into the engine bay. the other Honda V6s are 60 degree...try those first.

hey i say do it.....if you got enough money to waste and this is the type of thing you'd like to waste it on, then so be it. plus by your experience(which in my opinion would be disaster), we will all know never to even contemplate this idea. but hey, im all about being different, so like i said...do it! just know there is alot more things you could be doing with your ride than that!

you know, for the price of buying a powertrain and all the work involved into putting it in the rear (it will NOT go up front), you could almost BUY a 91-94 NSX. Some can be found for under $30K...and many are still in awesome condition.
Figure the powertrain is $10K
The work involved would be probably 10-15K
and the NSX would be a much better car.

plus, the teg would have its floor all gutted out, and the frame would be all twisty. It may be faster, but you'll lose lots of structure. plus, the front engine is a structural member...removing it would hurt the handling. well, if you had a teg with a B18C AND a J30 (is that the code?)...that would be fast.
