Did you decide to deshroud the head to the 84mm bore?

I decided to go with 11.5:1 to be on the safe side sorta...I didnt want to ahve to worry about detonation and whatnot. Also..the highest octane gas we have here in the winter is 91 octane...if we had 93 or 94 I probably would have gone higher.

Yes Im deshrouding the head to match the cylinder bore.

Heh...I dont know yet

Im waiting on the block to be finished first, then I will assebmle the short block and measure the deck clearance. After this is done, I can take the head in and have the head deshrouded and cc'ed so I know exactly what my compression will be...and then I can have the head milled a little if necessary to achieve the compression I want

Lots of planning huh

The shop did tell me it will cost $80-$100 to deshroud and mill/clean-up the head surface.

He got the pistons to me real quick...he shipped them out the following day after I ordered them..and it took 5 days for UPS to deliver them to me.
Mike K is real good at getting things out in time...I just ordered some more stuff this morning and he already shipped them out and emailed a tracking number

Im working with Gene's Engine shop off of 23rd Ave and Deer Valley.
Ive heard god things about their work and so far from dealing with them they seem real good and intrested in my project not liek some other shops Ive talked to that just seem to be in a hurry and have a "lets get it doen already" attitude.
