94 GSR tranny alternatives
Hey
Replacing my stock clutch yesterday and I find out that my inputshaft bearing(?) has gone bad and is leaking fluid onto everyting because the guy who did my last tranny job didn't put the right fluid in. anyway I'm in the market for a tranny and i was told that the si hydro tranny will have comparable gearing lest final drive. Should I get a OEM tranny(upgrade to type r), try to get the tranny rebuilt or try to get a used si tranny? I'm lost. Any thoughts would be appreciated Thanks!

Are you sure it's the input shaft bearing? Where is the oil leaking from?
In any case, I'd get the tranny fixed rather than look for a new one. Save yourself a lot of time and money.
