Is this possible? I would have to cut a whole in my windshield and would I just wire it in with my from wiper switch?

 

Actually, I'm thinkin about the same idea for my friend's EK. What I was going to do was to jsut get the rear wiper assembly and take the car to a glass shop and have them cut a hole in the appropriate size. Install, wire and should be done. I doubt it's this simple but this is just theory anyways. If you find anything out, please keep us informed.

just curious and giving u a bump at same time, but why would you want a rear wiper on your coupe? I had a coupe and had no problems in the rain or anything? You doing it for looks? Like I said, just curious...

Glass does and WILL not hold well to any stress let alone a drill bit! Probably NEVER work, unless you can get somebody to literally blow one out for you (find a crack addict, their good at makin their pipes, lol)

 

How would a rear windsheild wiper not help? do jdm civic coupes have them? parking without a wiper can be so hard sometimes... theres no way to put them in?

 

jdm ferios came with rear wipers, i don't think coupes did

 

would that mean if i wanted a jdm wiper not only would i needa buy the window wiper assembly (with wiring) id need to buy the entire rear windsheild and get that mounted in? boy will wiring that suckker be fun

from what i've been told you can't drill a hole in the glass.

had a friend went to glass shop after glass shop to get a type-r break light mounted into his gsr...and this is what he was told..

 

if you look closely there's the optional rear wiper with switch that goes in the center console

 

i have a EG ex coupe... does JDM civic's have a optional windsheild wiper? maybe i can just buy the whole sheet of glass with the hole drilled and just install that in.

first, there's no EG coupe, second the 93-95 didn't have the rear wiper as an option, third even if they did, you probably would be able to find one, let alone get it to the US in one piece

 

im sorry i get carried away sometimes im very used to calling them eg's i mean ej.. i call all of the civics in that year range eg's =P
