I'd like to swap my engine for better performance. I got a deal for 1200 bucks, with a DOHC IVTEC 2.0L . I am wondering if this could be done on my civic 01. Or if any other suggestions, what type of engine would suit best, im talking labor wise, cost, etc. Thanx!

 

so u hav a 2.0 i-vtec engine from what kinda car? rsx? si?
If its a k20 of any sort or a k24 u can def put it in ur 01 civic.

 

Damn where did you get that deal? What all comes with it and can you get me one? Ohh yeah is it a K20 or K24?

 

yeah its from a RSX Type S. I just wanted to know if I should just put my money on the D17 A2 SOHC I got right now in it, instead of going through all that work of puttin the DOHC in. If I put the right stuff in it, do you think it could out perform it or get close? I was thinking of starting off with stage 1 turbo kit. I'll decide on a few days what I'll do, if I stick with the one I got right now, I'll sell the complete engine on here.
