hey guys right now for my exhaust system i have a greddy evo2. i want a little more power so im am looking at the comptech 4-2-1 TIG header 2" collector. i am just looking for nice power across the powerband and not just top end. for my cat, would 2.25" match well with the header and exhaust? would i need to do any welding or anything for this system to work? thanks for the help.

the outlet of the comptech header is 2.25, so that would match up, but i believe the evo is either 2.36 or 2.5 correct me if i am wrong. You need a cat with a 2.25 inlet and a 2.35/2.5 (not sure) outlet. I'm sure your local muffler shop can help you out.

 

I believe he is right that the collector on the comptech is in fact 2 inches. I should have measured mine when I installed it last week. I just got a high flow 2.25. I'm sure it's fine and isn't going to hurt performance.

If your not going after topend HP I say the comptech is the way to go. I love it so far. I'll post up some pics soon. I did the comptech intake, icebox, magnaflow high flow cat, comptech exhaust. mmmm sounds great!

 

What is the diameter of the greddy exhaust you have?

I would just take it to a muffler shop and have them match it up

i dont think there is a header that is 2.25". Its only 2.0" or 2.5" and the comptech header is 2.0" unless its the race header.
