Default do i need to resurface my flywheel if I.................?

Well, here's the situation, I'm swapping in an h22 but I want to
use my centerforce clutch from my old h23 if the disc is still meaty enough.
If I bolt my old clutch to the h22 flywheel, will I have to resurface it?
If so, I might just use the h23 flywheel if it will bolt up. I mean hell, my
h23 flywheel is already lightened, maybe i'll just use it.

What do you guys suggest?

I would just use the H23 flywheel. H22 and H23 flywheels are EXACTLY the same.

If you mate the used clutch to a flywheel other than the one it was mated to before, you should resurface it.

....and you'd be getting a lightened flywheel!

Awesome

i'll definately go this way if the clutch is in good shape

one other question, do i have to take off the flywheel to get

to the rear main seal anyway? I figured I should change this while the

engine is out. Sorry, I haven't studied up on the almighty

Helms enough yet

****, when you can't read or think straight, I'd say it's not overrated! I just am too used to sleeping 12 hours a day, I can't handle getting little sleep..........yet I can't sleep!

Blah, if only I hadn't gotten sick from it the other night, I'd drink myself to sleep!

you're like a big bear "swingers"

another question, in the helms it says you have to use a
couple special tools like a clutch alignment disc, ring gear holder,
clutch alignment shaft, and a handle. Can I get by with just
an alignment tool that fits my clutch?

the ring gear holder keeps the flywheel from turning while loosening/tightening the bolts.

a screwdriver and/or some vice grips will work too.

yeah just put one of the tranny bolts back onto the block, then use a piece of wood, or a big screwdrive or something to hold the flywheel from turning when u TQ the bolts.

as far as the alignment tool goes, its easy with one, but u can get away without one, just use a ratch handle or screwdriver handle or something, whatever fits and keeps the disc centered while u bolt down the pressure plate is good,
