Default Serious Problema!!

Hey guys,
I have a 91 accord 2 door coupe. Car will only start when it feels like it. I just put in new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Main relay, new fuel pump is reading 34psi, coil tested is ok, and just put in a new fuel filter. The car will studder when I try to start it. My dad tested out the air boost valve and I guess that might be bad. Anyone got any ideas? I'm diein over here.

when it wont start, will it turn over?......or does it seem dead?......will it start and then sputter?.......when it does start, does it run well?

It turns over like a champ and when it actually runs it runs like a champ. But it only starts about 10% of the time and only when it is cold. It turns over and sputters and sometimes it doesn't even sputter.

Main relay? But I thought when this heated up it would act completely dead. But it is that time of year for Hondas again. Read some of the main relay threads and see if it sounds like your problem.

I've already replaced the main relay. The previous owner replaced it and I JUST replaced it 3 days ago. I've read all the main relay threads and this isn't the problem.

Even though your coil is testing fine it still may be bad. Happens more then you think. If you have a way to check, I would also check the ignitor and the crank sensor. Watch the crank sensor with a multi-meter. See if there is a 5v reference going back to the ECU when turning it over. if there is less then 5v's and the car is not starting then it would more likely be a crank sensor or a wire shorted out.

why are u dying when u have like 4 other cars? lol

I know what your problem is! Check your idle controller motor. Its a motor that regulate how much air is going into your engine depending on the temperature. Its thermo air control or something. Its located somewhere near your throttle body. This motor is an electronic choke.

Try stepping on the gas half way down while starting your car and see it starts.

Tell me how it goes.
