after running castrol gtx for about 70k on a gsr..then changin to mobil 1 synthetic..would that cause the head to make clicking noises..from the cam gears area..with a moon cut cover..

 

i don't think the oil change could've caused that, o and by the way the clicking sound might be valve tap, you might have to adjust the valves if that is the case. but i don't think the oil change could've caused that.

 

ya, sounds like valves need adjustment. did you put thinner weight oil in? that might make the difference on the valve knock due to the oil change. other than that, thats all i can think of.

 

do you guys have hydraulic lifters?

 

by any chance do you use a fram oil filter?

 

valves were adjusted 3 weeks ago..still there..hamp filter used..could it be that its normal since the cover is cut and its way louder cliking..
