My personal opinion: If you like low end torque and want a decently quick street car for hauling your friends around, go LS. If you want a track car, or a drag car, go B16A. Mod for mod I have never seen an LS match my B16's 1/4 mile times. But the torque sucks. You also should consider that you can go LS/VTEC with a your B16 head later on.
