Default Good Deal or not?

I am looking to buy a 1989 CRX Si which is in good interior condition with Del Sol Seats. Within 4k miles has a brand new clutch, new head gasket, and distributor. Has 189,000 miles on it. The guy said he would sell it for 1500. I was thinking maybe 1200-1300. It has not rust and is primered ready to be painted. Thanks!

I would thoroughly check it for rust. Make sure they didn't just cover up rust with bondo. Otherwise it sounds like a good deal if the car is mechanically sound and runs well.

do you think i should boost the 190k mile motor? I know I would have to do a compression check and make sure its 205 across the board (I think at least). If so do you think it will be OK?

btw: I also have the ability to buy a full greddy d16 turbo kit with an FMIC and Ignition for an extra 1100 or so.. Would it fit on the d16a6? I was under the impression it fit the 99-00 si.
