i need to set the timing on my 87 integra,any one know the procedures? i was driving my car when the timing belt broke,i brought a new belt,put it on,now when i try to start it,it won't turn over no compression,any suggestion?

 

Hi, Turn the crankshaft over till the ignition timing mark is on top dead centre. Then turn the camshafts so that "top" is at the top. This is difficult to do as they wont want to stay there. The slip the belt on. You can easily do damage to the valves if you try to run the motor with the belt installed incorrectly. Hope this helps you....Tad
