Default Taking rear seats out in EK

Ive searched, but found not much info.

I need to take out the rear panels, and in order to do that, the seats need to be out also. How the hell do i get the seats out, do i take the seats out in sections? (top and bottom) or is it all one unit? Where are the screw locations? Clip locations? Help please

flip the seats down. you will need to flip up the carpet to expost the 10mm bolts. remove them of of the smaller section first. then flip up on the bigger sctions. there is a bolt that goes throught the side of the small section. remove it and everything will pull out. unless you remove the backing you will need to remove the top section as one piece. once it is out of the car you will see a 10mm bolt holding the rear part down. then just pull up on the front to release the front part. then pull it out.

This **** of people always posting"SEARCH" is getting to be a pain. If you are going to type search you should show what you searched in order to find it. I am sorry but the HT search function is not that great. I do searches all of the time and because people put stupid **** in the Title you can't find it.

So Ahrpr please show all of us dumbasses where the information is located. Please enlighten us.

Since the reply "search" without some valid info has, was and is in violation of the TOS for this forum enjoy your new user rating.

Don't worry, your not the only one tired of getting "search" for an answer. If you can't search and provide someone with a link don't bother replying.

EDIT: If you get stuck feel free to PM me. Ive done this quite a few times as well.

You'll need to sign up for a host, such as http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com and then link the pics here. Just a heads up, make it a little technical so it won't get locked. If there is nothing technical about it, post on Appearance and Cosmetic.

fold the seats down. slightly pull back carpeting thats attached to the back of the seats. on the drivers side section there are 2 bolts attaching it to the bracket. on the passenger side section there are 2 bolts one one side and 2 bolts on the other side because this section uses 2 brackets. At this point the passenger side section can be folded over and laid on top of the drivers side backing. now you need to remove the bolt that holds the center bracket in place. Its threaded directly into a post that its actually part of the drivers side section. after the bracket is removed you can push out the black plastic retainer and then remove the drivers side section. Now the 2 seat backs can be removed from the car. Now on the seat cussion.. in the middle but slightly towards the drivers side is a black bolt that holds the seat down. Take this bolt out. As for the rest of tue cussion.. depending on the year you may have to pop the 2 front corners up (99/00) or you need to fold the seat towards the front and lift the entire seat up and out (96/98). Sorry I dont have pics. But hopefully all of that made sense.
