aftermarket gauges
I dont know what you mean, you want to install that gauge into your stock gauge cluster? Not going to happen... Unless you want to fabricate your own gauge cluster with sheet metal. The easiest way would to get some gauge cups from Summit or get an Pillar pod.
i think what he means is...is there an aftermarket gauge that he can buy that will fit the stock port (where the thermostat is...not too sure of the lingo kinda new at this) that is not OEM
what I mean is if I un hook my stock gauge will it mess up the way the car runs I am not sure if the ecu need to know engine temp to run correctly I am unable to find a spot to put the aftermarket gauge sending unit there is a spot in the thermostat housing but the sending unit interfears with the thermostat this is a mechanical gauge I am trying to install is it even possible or should I buy a electric gauge and splice it in to the exsisting wires thanks
Whatever aftermarket gauge you get it's probbly going to require that it use it's OWN sending unit and not your OEM one.
Check to see if the stock sendign unit runs to the ECU - I think it does, but only 99% sure... not 100% - and if it does then removing it WILL mess with the way your car runs.
