header question

Default header question

im in a rush trying to take my aftermarket headers off....all bolts are off now the problem is gettin it to come out...do i HAVE to take the crossmember off in order to make the header fit and come out???

it bolts in the middle..but its so rusted that i dont even think i should take the chance of unbolting it there..but that WOULD work

Well in that case, jack the car up really high and you should be able to get it off easier that way.

i started to do that..but the way the header is..i think the crossmember is in the way..thats the problem

Then remove it... only 4 bolts and 2 nuts.... You might need to notch that crossmember to make clearance for a header, you'll need to have it off anyway to install a header.

got it off..just separated the header into two pieces..was afraid the bolts were too rusty and would break but worked out fine...
