Default 94 teg w/ 96 jdm teg R. cluster?

Im puttin in the cluster into a 94 teg this weekend..I've just heard stories that the temp gauge or the gas gauge wont work...is this true?

If it doesn't, just swap the gauges into your 94 cluster case and put the CF overlay and insert, like the ABS, SRS and whatever else your car has. Very easy. Others will say to swap out the green flim, but this way is much easier. Just don't for get to take out the three screws that hold the CF overlay on the the casing. There are three of them and they are in the middle of the gauges in a deep hole. DON"T FORGET. Post pix when your done. I just put yellow needles from a jdm cluster on my ITR cluster. Pix soon

96 cluster should work on your 94 teg
its the 98+ that are different

**** well my next question is how can you tell the difference b/t a 96 cluster and a 98?

94-97 jdm cluster has a cat over heating warning light, it looks like a smoking chevy symbol.
98+ does not.
