Question for those of you with hood pins...
1) What brand do you have, and how much were they?
2) Where did you take it for installation (body shop? used ur own dremel lol? )
3) How exactly do the pins work?
thanks!

1. sparco, $ 30
2. dremel in my living room....
3. prevent it from flying off...sicne the hood sometimes may no flushed with the body and air gets underneath it and creating more pressure under the hood....causing it to fly

u used a dremel eh? I feel uneasy about drilling into the carbon fiber...
i know what it does but, maybe i didnt clarify...i meant how is it built to hold the hood down? like is it 2 pieces, and you thread one piece from under the hood, and lock it down with the other piece? or...?? I've never actually looked at one up close before so I'm not sure...

carbon fiber hood is a lot stronger than you think, I didn;t even use any tape or anything pre-drilling, I just drill right into it.....
it's a two piece parts, with the rod bolted down to the frame and the plate is locked in against the rod with the pin, the plate is on top of the hood...
i.e. the hood is sandwich between the plate and the rod with the pin in the middle...

i've used hood pins on my teg cf hoods. this is another alternative...not as pretty but very efficient. these are the spring loaded hood clamps on my mini

damn my accord looks big

damn my accord looks big
you wouldn't believe how big it is inside. it can fit 4 adults no problem and plenty of headroom for a good 6'er plus. its all interior(near the ground)and a little front end with a 1275cc motor in it. Its caged as well already. it originally came with an 880cc motor. say goodbye to the 1.3 next year
