Default storing a engine...

alright guys i want to buy a new engine but this time instead of doing a full swap i want to build it slowly like buying a short block and building on that and then a head and build on that etc... now one thing im curious about is how do u safely store engine parts like the block, head and anything else ... cuz i know just leaving the block in ur garage is gonna cause mold, humidity and dirt to damage the pistons and any other parts... thank u

Keep everything lubricated (wd-40 will do), also rotate the crank once in a while and keep the sidewalls and crank lubricated. Cover the engine with a plastic bag to keep out the moisture and furry friends.
