For the last few days i been thinking that what would happen if i put like 2 1.2 inch pipe from the header and run straight pipe all the way to the muffler but use something similar like a factory muffler. what exactly would happen would i loose a lot of horsepower. or something else. i just got tired of the muffler sound i would like something quieter but i don't know any source. so please let me know what do you think and what is the best. thank you guys .

 

Well I dont know what you have for exhaust now, but you wont lose horsepower from big piping. I would suggest that you get something around 2". 2 1/2 is too big. I have 2 1/4 with a bosal muffler and a midpipe 18" resonator and it is still rumbly. If I had it to do over again, I would do 2" piping. Your choice, and you wont lose hp no matter what you do.

 

Get a quiet catback like the A'pexi WS 1 or 2.
