Default headlight issues

My headlights are having a difficult time adjusting...i think whatver catches the little adjuster screw is jumping off of it. so I need to take the headlighs apart...whats the best way to melt the glue or whatever it is from the headlights so i can take them apart? I have heard bakeing them in the oven works...but i am afraid that will melt the other parts of the headlights...any suggestions?

Put it in the oven at 200 degrees for about 5 minutes or so. It wont melt anything, but I just dont see how this will fix your problem. Are you talking about the long phillipshead screw at the top of the headlight?
