Default Alternator or Battery?

How do I tell if it's my battery not holding a charge or if the alternator is shot?? I believe it's the alternator as my radio will cut out, the tach goes wild, lights dim, and such.

If it turns out the it's the alternator, would one from a 90-93 Integra work.. (I have an extra, sure would be nice.)

Thanks alot,
Matt

If it acts like a drain, it's probably the alternator. If the car won't crank, and you jump it off, and it's ok til you stop, it's the alternator not supplying a charge.

I'm guessing it's the alternator, and yes,t he integra one will work, but you might need some washers to offset the alternator if the belt trys to walk on the pulley at all.
