Vtec Help
Ok i have went from forum to forum looking for help on my vtec...
I swapped a d16z6 into my dx civic which was a d15. I have the wiring harness for the vtec motor and the ecu.. but how do I get my vtec wiring to my ecu so the vtec engages? If I have to insert wires in slots on the ecu please let me know which slots i will have to do this too... I know other people have done a non-vtec to vtec swap so how did you get your vtec to work?

take 2 pins out of the vtec wiring harness (you got to pop off the plastic tab and it alows you to remove them). Then pop the plastic tab on your non vtec harness and stick these 2 pins with wires into slot a4, and d6. A4 if I remember right goes to vtec solenoid, and d6 goes to one (doesn't matter which) wire from vtec oil pressure switch. Second wire from vtec oil pressure switch goes to the ground anywhere on your vehicle.
some one please awnser my question!.. i have a SOHC ZC motor that i jus put in my EG and i was wondering weather its a 1.6 or 1.5 it has the VTEC head and everything an im thinking its a 1.6 but im not sure.. my old d16 stock vtec engine seems way faster than the ZC that i have now and i dont think thats right.. my vtec on the ZC also doesnt WORK! so it may be the ECU or i dont noe wtf is wrong.. but all i know is that the ZC is supposed to be faster than the old engine that i had before which is the d16 and that just aint the case!... my vtech doesnt work on the ZC do i have to change the ECU from the D16 to a ZC?.. someone awnser me please!
