What are the differences between the 88-91 Civic 4 door LX's and EX's besides the engines? The EX has a 1.6, right?

 

yea i'd like to know too!!

i know for sure the EX has a cigeret plug light up ring and a lit ash tray. the LX has the wires for it but no lighting harness.

 

the engines, and ex had 14in wheels while the lx had 13

 

whats diff. about the engines?

The EX 1.6L is the the same motor that came in the Si's. The EX's also got the bigger brakes. What are they 10.3" or something like that.

lets try again
d16a6 engine (same as crx si)
dual tip muffler
10.3" front brakes(same as 90-93 integra)
15/16' bore master cylinder(booster is same)&lt;---good upgrade if you need new master cyl
14" wheels and tires (needed to fit the bigger brakes)
AND not previously mentioned
Dual core radiator on automatic transmission only(only Ex and Auto RT4WD Wagon had these)

No wing..not even optional
Center console was dealer available option( same option as lx)

 

Different/Better Interior Patterns....

Shock damper on the glove box(im not sure if LXs had this or not)

EX logo on the back instead of LX/DX lol

Wing was a Dealer option just like the center console.....

 

The glove box damper is on LX because i have an LX with that.

Any pics of EX Vs. LX things like the consoles, or the radiator.

the damper was a dealer option too then cuz all three LX's ive had didnt have one

 

and i dont think they made ex's in 88 or 89 i think they started making them 90
