what fitting and where can you buy it to install an aftermarket water temp gauge in my civic si, is it a metric fitting and can i buyit at a parts store??

Easiest thing to do is to install a brass "T" fitting inline with the water lines that go to the throttle body. Just buy some longer line from a car parts store and be sure to mount the tee in a way that will ground it. Either the water temp sensor or the brass tee that it is attached to must be grounded for the gauge to work. Just use some metal strap material and you'll be all set.
