Default Rebuilding my motor

Sup guys.... I am rebuilding my motor (b16)... I already bought CTR pistons, will have my stock rods shotpeened, and just bought some new dual ITR valve springs, and ITR cams... and on top of that, will get a Hondata to tune it all... What do you guys think? Any suggestions or comments would be helpful...

Thnx...!

I would not waste the time and money to shot peen your stock rods. I would go with a set of aftermarket rods. If you are going to all the trouble to rebuild the motor, do it right and upgrade the rods.

If your going all motor you can do whatever yuo want with the rods, but if you plan to boost/spray, Id upgrade them. There fairly cheap new @ around $300

Im also building a motor right now

Dont forget about the crank, balanced, micropolished and make sure it isnt out of round

All new rings/bearings

I have that same setup for sale for you cheif. CTR pistons on modded rods, because you have to shave 1mm off each side but you probally knew that. The cams I have are CTR better intake cam. There is no need to buy new rods though just shave 1mm off each side. Oh yeah I got crower valve springs and retainers in mine for sale also.

They are the same....
Motor should run good with stock rods unless you plan on spray or boost.
