is this normal? - intake
A grindy noise when you hit ivtec...take it off and put youre stock one back on to see if it does it with youre stock intake. If it doesnt then something might be wrong with the AEM intake.

That is pretty ridiculous that you want to go back to OEM just cause the sound isn't right.... try to find out what is making the noise first and give it some thought. My CAI was loud as ****, i never heard an intake that loud before but it was ok. Don't give up the ship though

Does your friend also have an exhaust? That mellows out the sound quite a bit... I have the AEM sri too, it gets loud as hell in higher rpms... I'll just deal with it til I have $680 for the Mugen box...
