Does anyone know where would be the best place to get one of these? They seem relatively inexpensive so I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Any advice would be cool.

well ill tell you this...my friend destroyed his tranny with one of these. he got to drive the car once after he put it in. he did one burnout at the track and then he staged, reved it up dropped the clutch and destroyed the tranny, he went absolutely nowhere, he had to get the car towed...1800 later he has a itr tranny.

I wouldn't say it's poop, but there are far better alternatives out there.
Most people think it's a limited slip, and it's not.
So if you're looking for a limited slip, don't buy this.
If you plan on drag racing with slicks, don't buy this.
If you can't afford a true LSD, and don't plan on using slicks at the track, and just want a bit more bite out of your 1 tire fryer.......

alot of people on here have had no direct knowledge with the phantom grip. it really isnt that bad.
It is not a LSD
do some more research. not just here but on other boards as well
dsm.org
maybe some celica site

Think about the design and you'll understand why it won't work.
Little spring force. I compressed the springs with just hand pressure.
Metal to metal plates in a bath of oil, very low friction.
No clutch plates. The OPM setup uses similiar setup but with clutches to grip.
OPM doesn't suggest using their diff for drag racing, it provides about 25-30% lockup of what t true LSD does. This is enough for road racers, which the OPM is designed for.
I won't even get into the sideloading of the spider gears.
I did my research and spent about $100 on phone bills calling OPM in GA and Jamie Houseman in CAN.
