Default Power door lock weirdness

OK, it goes a little something like this:
When I flip the master lock switch (driver door) either way, the rear passenger side door makes a grinding noise and the lock... does nothing.

I have to put a window regulator in the same door, so it would be really great to fix that while I am in there.

Anyone...? Anyone...?

I had the same problem. I just disconnetted the power locks now it doesn't make the noise anymore, but I don't have any power locks.

Thanks slider, but I am kind of spoiled to my PDLs. That's what having driven BMWs the last ten years has done... (But my Honda is smoother, quieter and MUCH lower maintenance which I prefer at this point in my life... )

Who's got the scoop on the best place to buy an actuator at a poor-boy price?
Are they side specific? (left-right) And are they front/back specific?

Anybody got a good deal on one laying around in your parts box?

To my friendly, and I am sure meaning to be helpful, members of the peanut gallery: I DID search. The exact answers to my questions did NOT come up.

I am beginning to think there are some folks who troll the board just for the pleasure(?) of finding questions they deem beneath their dignity just so they can jump in there and chant "SEARCH! SEARCH!" To those, I would say, RELAX! There are some of us who don't know our Hondas inside and out like you might. I can field strip a BMW 325e and know where to buy parts from, but this Honda thing is new to me.

Hondafool- The link was only related to my question in that the talk was of power door locks. I want OEM or compatible parts, not JC Whitney. Thanks- I know you tried.

JDMAccord2nr- You are just plain rude and you assume too much. (see above)

My very reasonable question that goes unanswered is how to best source a used OEM or OEM-type actuator inexpensively, and whether or not they are position-specific. Anyone?

Thanks all- Bil

I would like to help you out, but I am not really sure about the answer. Perhaps you could find the parts you need at local junk-yard for a low price. If I was in your position and I couldn't find the answer I was looking for I might just decided to buy new OEM and fork out the cash for it. If anything, my reply should bump this post so others might have a chance to correctly answer your question. Sorry I couldn't be of more help as I still have much to learn as well.
