Let's start with...what do you currently have?

which turbo?
fuel management?
etc...
etc...

No, let's start with a motor instead of a hamster wheel.

You're going to run a T3 snail at 8psi (...right); but you don't know what will make it run smooth/safe?
you obviously didn't do your research.
First, I suggest a motor, and building from the inside.

Yes!

Start with Maximum Boost, by Corky Bell...

That should tell you everything you need to know!

By the way, you don't really need to build your engine if you are planning on running low boost...

according to Maximum Boost, "with currently available fuels, 7 to 12 psi boost is a practical upper limit for stock engines (at sea-level elevation)."

About engine durability it says, "...you can expect about 90% of normal engine life."

LOL

Ummmm no. People run kits with no internal upgrades and have success.

if you want to turbo and be safe, you need to do more research, simple as that, you'll know when your ready to safely turbo, because you will be able to answer your own question

there are a lot of pieces to a turbo kit other than the turbo itself. piece together all the little crap and get hondata. take it somewhere who does really good dyno-tuning and get it tuned properly, this will determine the life of your engine. my friend had a stock b20 in his eg hatch (daily driven) with a t3 turbo and he ran low 12's for about 2 years on 9-12 psi, didnt have many problems with it at all, he just kept up with the maintanence.
