A little help please from the honda guru's.
im new too honda and new to the forums. looks informational.
ok i recently acuired a '95 rs integra. stock b18b1.
nothing compared to my modded '95 eclipse gst.
the question is
what will i need to get more power. im looking into b20 eventually b20vtec or b20turbo. or both.
question is i would like to get the best head setup for the b20 block. and what internals will i need to be able to daily drive it and rev to 8k at the least.
and what other supporting mods. ecu intake manifold...etc. what parts will i need to make this set up bolt in and run right. and if any of you know prices. that would be great.
thanks a bunch mark w. a new integra tuner.

b20vtec is similar to ls/vtec....... you're going to need to run an additional oil line, and new head studs as far as other goodies here and there.... It adds up to be a chunk of change if you want ANY reliability.
there are 2 different b20 bottoms...... the b20B (prior to '99) w/ a CR of 8.8: 1
and the b20Z (which was in '99 - '01 CRVs) w/ a CR of 9.6: 1..
If you go w/ the b20B (which is substantially cheeper) you're probably going to want to swap out pistons to achieve higher compression....
Regardless of whether you pick the B or the Z bottom, if you plan on HIGH levels of boost, you're def going to want to get the block sleeved ( $ well spent IMO). Stock for stock, your b18b bottom is much better suited for high psi's, but it's only 1.8L
As for heads, the b16 head is considered to be the best flowing... Get that **** ported and polished, and you'll have some screaming street machine. Welcome to h-t, it's good to see someone doing something unique (well, maybe not all that unique) w/ their car...

ok. i realize ls/vtec. b20/vtec. either way will run me some money.
but my ls head appears to have a crack. my original plans were to go ls turbo.
and i like the idea of more displacement and more tourqe stock.
i have found a site that sells the jdm b20b for 699 or so plus shipping. not sure if this is good ro bad. im new to honda.
but im looking to be reliable and run into high 13's atleast as a daily. same as i was doing in my fwd eclipse.
i already have shocks coilovers a megan racing h brace sturt tower bars rear lower tie bar crossdrilled and slotted rotors camber aluminum control arms in the rear kits **** like that. to get me planted to the ground.
now i just need the power.
i lost on a highway roll to my girl's gsr with aem cai stage 2 clutch and some other **** by like a car. it sucked. cause mine has a slight port on the head.
but im looking into the options of the infamous b20. here in the local scence there arent many. its all b18's and b16's land im lookin to do something different even though im into honda now. the most accesable car ever....which is a good thing haha.
and thanks for the help keep the info coming.
if anyone has time's ran with there stock b20's at the track and what not. would be very appreciated.
and if you feel the swap is worth it or not.
what about might i run on a stock b20 with a gsr or b16 tranny?
