that's the way people used to do it BEFORE the HASport and PlaceRacing brackets came out.

So maybe a hot glue gun and popsicle sticks instead of welding some metal together and bolting it in there?!?!?

I used the bracket that came with the b-16 and adapted it to
work with my {Sanden} compressor..
I had to beat a small dent in the top of the crossmember and
grind, drill and tap a hole in the bracket for bolt #3..

The front two holes lined up perfectly so I added
the third and went on down the road..
The red lines are the holes that don't line up

Yes I have one on my B18.
Yes it bolts right up.
Buy the bracket, you'll feel better after you bolt the compressor up and it actually aligns with the crank pulley. And as an added bonus it has the stock adjustment.

Funny **** 4dr......hahaha
Save up for a couple more weeks and buy the hasport one. Under $200 and no headaches of trying to weld one, test fit, grind, weld again, drill etc.....

I made my own brackets using metal strips from HomeDepot.
Check it out here http://www.geocities.com/crxls18/ACmod.html
If you have any questions let me know. I still have these brackets and it only costed me like $15 bux in total.
not using it anymore cause my car kept overheating with the A/C and turbo.
So it was either Turbo or A/C and I choose Turbo.
