I'm having a problem where my guage cluster and climate control lights turn on and off. It seems to happen randomly. I'll have my lights on and then all of a sudden the guage cluster and vent contol lights go out. Sometimes with a tap on the dash they will come back on and sometimes not at all. The only lights that work are the high beam indicator, left and right turn signal indicator. Is there a relay I should look for that might be going bad? It does it more often when the weather is cold. Any input would be appreciated.

Damn, i have the same problem, except its only the climate control lights. WTF is that? ANy other Teg owners have a similar prob and how do we fix it??? TIA

 

I know that happens when the fuse is faulty. It also seems possible that a lose wire or two is shortening the circuit. What year is your 'teg?

Might be the alternator. Same thing happened to my old EG, and it was the alternator.

 

check for a lose connection in your dimmer...this happened to me also and the dimmer had a loose wire...same symptoms as you guys, i would hit a bump and lights out...hit another and lights back on...just check the fuses first and then if its not that pull out the dimmer which is easy and check the wiring

 

what & where is the dimmer? I have the same problem on my ITR too

 

the little **** to the right of the steering wheel...it controls how bright the cluster and climate control lights are

 

I found my problem turns out one of the wires on the dimmer plug was halfway out. Plugged it back in and voila it worked like a charm. Thanks for the input fellas.
