Failed 3rd smog test, need some input.
Sorry this is a double post from the "other honda.." forum. But I have a 95 civic ex sedan, not modified motor wise. I just need some help with this, I have replaced the pcv, O2, cat, air filter and spark plugs. I failed all 3 test that I have gone through.
Here are my last results:
HC (PPM)
15 mph = max 92 meas 141
25 mph = max 57 meas 125
CO (%)
15 mph = max 0.55 meas 1.31
25 mph = max 0.54 meas 1.45
NO (PPM)
15 mph = max 716 meas 1055
25 mph = max 764 meas 639
The smog tech told me that it may be my ecu that is bad or the wiring to the ecu, I haven't checked the wiring on the ecu. But wouldn't I get a CEL if there is a problem with the ecu?
