I'm looking for the LITTLE valve spring compressor tool that you can use while the head is still attached to the block, i have no idea where to buy one, can't find them at ANY auto parts stores...

 

any auto parts store will sell a "little" one but those do not work with honda heads. they're primarily for older domestics where removing the valve cover will expose the sides of the valve spring.

mac and matco has one too, but snap-on is actually the cheapest of the 3.

yeah, that's the exact same thing. i just didn't know where to find it cheaper.

most of the snap-on, mac tools, and matco stuff are just products made by someone else that they rebrand as theirs. most of what is actually their own are stuff like wrenches, sockets, ratchets. any specialty tools such as these and some like pliers and such are just rebrands of someone else's tools.
